HOW TO APPLY FOR PM SURYA GHAR


  1. Registration & Profile Setup:

    • Visit the national portal (e.g., pmsuryaghar.gov.in).

    • Register with your mobile number and verify via OTP.

    • Fill in your profile details (name, address, state, district, email) and save.

  2. Submit Application:

    • Log in and select "Apply for Solar Rooftop".

    • Choose your state, district, and electricity distribution company (DISCOM).

    • Enter your consumer account number to fetch details and fill out the application form, including proposed system capacity.

    • Upload a copy of your latest electricity bill.

  3. Feasibility Approval:

    • Your DISCOM will review the application and conduct a technical feasibility study (may involve site inspection).

    • You'll receive an email with approval or rejection; proceed with installation only after approval.

  4. Installation:

    • Choose an empanelled vendor (often mandatory for subsidies) who will install the system.

  5. Net Metering & Commissioning:

    • After installation, apply for net metering with your DISCOM; they will install a bi-directional meter.

    • Once the system is commissioned and the net meter is installed, the system goes live.

  6. Subsidy Claim:

    • Log back into the portal.

    • Upload the commissioning certificate and your bank details (with a cancelled cheque/passbook copy).

    • The subsidy is credited directly to your bank account after inspection.
